1. Kevin Breathnach (gorse no. 1) chairs chaired an evening of Korean and Irish literature at the Dublin Writers’ Festival, Thursday 22 May, 8pm.

2.1 Rob Doyle (gorse nos. 1 & 2) reads with musical accompaniment at Listen at Lilliput, Sunday 25 May, 7.30pm.
2.2 “Readers have every right to demand pleasure from what they read.” Rob writes on ‘experimental fiction’.

3. Congratulations to SJ Fowler (gorse nos. 1 & 2), whose new collection of poetry, The Rottweilers guide to the Dog Owner, has just been published by Eyewear Publishing.

4. Brian Dillon (gorse no. 2) will be was in conversation with Chris Darke on Chris Marker: Writing the Image, at the London Review Bookshop, 18 June, 7pm.

5. Alan Cunningham (gorse no. 2) & SJ Fowler (gorse nos. 1 & 2) have contributed pieces to Penned in the Margins’ Mount London: Ascents in the Vertical City.

6.1 gorse will be was at Bloom Fringe Saturday, 31 May, as part of the Dublin Publishing Cooperative.
6.2 gorse is taking took part in Circa Words 2014, a weekend of experimental writing at the Irish Writers Centre. We’ll be there with John Holten, who’ll read from ‘Oslo, Norway,’ excerpted in issue one.

7. ‘Sharpening the Sickle to Shame the Scythe,’ a new story by Matthew Jakubowksi (gorse nos. 1 & 2) in Fiddleblack.

8. Dylan Brennan’s (gorse no. 2) ‘My Hair Was a Gift; That Tree Was is Woman’ in The Incubator.
