RTÉ’s Poetry Programme discussed a selection of literary journals that included The Penny Dreadful, Poetry Ireland Review, Poetry Bus, The Stinging Fly and gorse.

On gorse, the reviewers had some interesting things to say: “an experimental vibe and you see quite original work in there…I always get excited when I have a copy in front of me,” “just absolutely beautiful, you just want to stroke it and pet it and keep it forever.” Poems from the issue singled out for praise were Ailbhe Darcy and SJ Fowler’s ‘Odyssey’ from the Subcritical Tests sequence and Michael Naghten Shanks‘ ‘In London, it is’, which Michael read out on air.
